Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Position Summary: A high-acuity, 528-bed tertiary care hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking a highly capable Travel Registered Nurse – House Supervisor to provide operational oversight and support during day or night shifts. This leadership role requires strong clinical expertise, the ability to respond to critical incidents, and readiness to step in for direct patient care when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver leadership and administrative support across multiple hospital units during assigned shifts
Act as a clinical resource to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards
Manage hospital flow, including admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
Provide direct patient care in Med/Surg settings when needed (typical ratio: 1:5–1:7)
Document all patient and shift information accurately using EPIC EHR system
Required Qualifications:
Active New York RN license
Minimum 3 years of nurse supervisor or clinical leadership experience
Prior experience working in facilities with 400+ beds
Recent acute care experience within the past 6 months
Proficiency with EPIC charting
Schedule Details:
Weekday shifts available Monday through Friday (primarily evening/night)
Weekend shifts rotate between day and night
Every Other Weekend (EOW) availability required
