Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Technology team in San Francisco, supporting NBC Sports Bay Area. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for implementing and supporting technology and users in our mission-critical media production and enterprise IT environment. A Snapshot of Your Responsibilities:
+ Gather requirements, plan, and implement technical and workflow solutions for Content, Operations, Live Events, and Creative Services partners.
+ Administer media production applications, systems, and infrastructure, ensuring the reliability of technology and operations.
+ Develop and maintain system documentation for operational and troubleshooting purposes.
+ Provide technical support, incident response, and maintain clear customer communication.
+ Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal cybersecurity policies and standards.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
+ Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from our San Francisco office.
Basic Requirements:
+ Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, radio, television and film, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
Desired Characteristics:
+ Experience in supporting mid to major market news or live event production operations and 24/7 mission-critical technology facilities.
+ Expertise in planning, implementation, and support of media technology, including ST2110, SDI video infrastructures, contribution and distribution encoding, live production systems, news gathering tools, NRCS, NLE, media asset management, and transmission systems.
+ Strong foundation in core IT principles, including administration of physical, virtualized, and cloud compute and storage, networking, and domain and identity management.
+ Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects resulting in satisfied stakeholders.

+ This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
