Role Overview
The Financial Accounting SME will review and map accounting content to learning objectives, ensuring conceptual accuracy, logical sequencing, and practical relevance for introductory accounting learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit accounting content for GAAP compliance and instructional clarity.
- Review TOC flow from accounting fundamentals to financial statements.
- Identify outdated standards, redundant examples, or missing practice problems.
- Map content and assignments to course-level accounting competencies.
- Develop new summaries, quizzes, and guided accounting solutions.
- Review tables, financial statements, and numerical examples.
- Prepare a Content Review and Development Report.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 3+ years of teaching, professional accounting, or curriculum design experience.
