Sr Specialist, Procurement (Purchasing) Location Brentwood, TN : Posting Date 06/04/2025 5200 Virginia Way, Brentwood, Tennessee, 37027, United States of America SUMMARY The Sr Procurement Specialist is a critical member of both the centralized purchasing construction teams. This teammate will be responsible for purchasing the FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) for DeNovos, Relocations, Expansions, and Acquisition projects as required. In addition, this role will act as the first point of escalation for any centralized purchasing related issues. The Sr. Specialist will oversee both the centralized replacement machine and HHD chair purchasing processes. This position requires advanced time management skills, problem solving skills, excellent customer service, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple project timelines. This position maintains a positive working relationship with our Suppliers/Vendors along with multiple departments within DaVita. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Place purchase orders, follow up, track and/or expedite to ensure deliveries meet targeted operation dates Keep dashboard/database current Maintain open communication with Project Managers via phone, email, text Build and develop positive working relationships with the team, teammates and vendors Attend and actively participate in Project Roadmap calls Frequent communication with vendors via phone and email to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery dates Ability to work on multiple priorities and projects simultaneously Help devise and implement department process improvements Support, provide guidance, and educate teammates on current processes and procedures, as well as on-going changes Compile monthly metrics tracking KPIs for the Purchasing team Research and provide solutions for purchasing related processes and issues Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to: Work overtime with little or no notice as needed Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed Participate in company meetings and conference calls as required Assist with coverage during staffing shortages and leaves of absence Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position Occasional travel for team meetings MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required) Associates or Bachelor's degree Minimum of two (2) years related experience in Procurement, Project Management, Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Purchasing/Buying Working knowledge of Oracle iProcurement, Coupa, or Purchasing systems/applications strongly preferred Basic knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook ESSENTIAL BEHAVIORS, SKILLS, AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS POSITION Commitment to DaVita's values of Service Excellence, Integrity, Team, Continuous Improvement, Accountability, Fulfillment and Fun with ability to demonstrate those positively and proactively to patients, teammates, management, physicians, and/or vendors (Village Service Partners) in everyday performance and interactions Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups and external customers Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills; ability to interact positively with teammates at all levels of the company Approachable and open Demonstrated professionalism/courtesy in responding to phone calls and emails Demonstrated proficiency in consultative skills when addressing complex inquires Willingness and desire to create a team learning environment and to foster a positive, fulfilling work environment Demonstrated time management skills and ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities concurrently with shifting time frames, and meet deadlines; self-starter with high degree of initiative, urgency, and follow through Demonstrated strengths in organizational, attention-to-detail, follow-through, analytical, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to present and document work according to standards required SUMMARY The Sr Procurement Specialist is a critical member of both the centralized purchasing construction teams.
