The Infrastructure Architect is a senior-level position responsible for designing and implementing IT systems to support business goals. This role involves leading infrastructure integration, optimizing technologies, collaborating with enterprise architecture teams, and ensuring systems meet compliance and performance standards. The position requires strong technical expertise, strategic planning skills,
and the ability to manage complex projects while driving innovation and cost-efficiency.
Role Responsibilities:
Work as part of IT Integration teams to plan and execute Infrastructure integration activities related to user experience and collaboration migration, datacenter/cloud design and workload migration, AD/Entra ID and Office 365 migration and consolidation.
Work in conjunction with enterprise architecture on design, strategy, and standards; documents and publishes appropriate infrastructure architecture principles and standards, position papers, blueprints, best practices, patterns, and frameworks.
Set strategic direction for various infrastructure technologies such as public cloud, directory services, collaboration services, network, storage, server, database and security best practices.
Encourage the use of shared systems and tools to lower expenses and enhance communication.
Ensure that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies.
Serve as level-4 escalation point for operations team and assist with problem resolution and root cause analysis as needed.
Plan for life and refresh cycles. Ensure that architected solutions work in line with application, network, desktop, server, storage, etc.
Develop and monitor technology architecture and technology vision; determine current and future enterprise infrastructure needs
Ensure that installations and upgrades are done in accordance with established policies, procedures, and license agreements.
Identify, implement, and monitor best practices for infrastructure technology architecture.
Review software requirements and designs architecture for high availability and disaster recovery as per business requirements.
