We do this because we are Miraval. **SUMMARY** Restaurant servers are responsible for submitting guest menu selections and presenting these food and beverage preferences. The right person will gain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our compilation of cuisine and drink offerings. The server will engage in casual conversation and create the restaurant experience by Miraval style and service attributes. Other duties include general restaurant preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment. **Duties and Responsibilities:** + Ensure compliance with health and safety codes and policies. + Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues. + Exhibit a positive, enthusiastic attitude committed to a teamwork effort. + Always use respect when speaking with you fellow colleagues. + Knowledge of and adherence to all aspects of service standards and business process outlined in Miraval Training Manual. + Follow specific job duties in opening/closing and side duties. + Perform service standards within specific time frames. + Be aware of guests in room and attentive to their needs. + Have extensive knowledge of menus, prices and an ability to give a "flavorful" description. + Assist guests in a professional manner, to the degree of which they feel valued and cared for. + Responsible for maintenance of table in assigned section. + Must attend and participate in pre-shift meetings. + Inform managers of comments related to quality and service from guests, both positive and negative. + Assume all duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager **We offer excellent benefits:** + Complimentary room nights* + Unlimited discounted and Friends & Family Room Rates + Medical, Prescription, Dental and Vision Insurance on 30 th day of employment* + 401K with company match* + Generous Paid Time Off policy* + Paid sick time + Paid Family Bonding Time and Adoption Assistance* + Tuition & Wellbeing Reimbursement* + Free colleague meals during shift + Employee Stock Purchase Plan* + Access to resort facilities including spa services, programs, hiking trails and gym * _Exact benefit package is contingent on status_ **Qualifications:** + A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment. + Refined verbal communication skills. + 2 years' full-service restaurant experience (fine-dining preferred). + POS system experience + Strong knowledge of coffee, beer, wine, and liquor service. + Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight. + Ability to stand for long periods of time. + A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment. + Refined verbal communication skills. + 2 years of full-service restaurant experience (fine dining or hotel / resort experience preferred). + Experience using POS systems + Strong knowledge of coffee, beer, wine, and liquor service. + Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight. + Ability to stand for long periods of time. + A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment. + Refined verbal communication skills. + Ability to multitask (use phone, computer, ipad, simultaneous and regularly) + Previous customer service required + This position is required to be mobile for 90% or more of each shift + Problem solving and organization is a key success factor + Familiarity with POS system and plant-based cooking preferred This is a great opportunity to use your restaurant host or restaurant hostess job experience to begin a career at Hyatt.
