Overview: The Catholic Chapel at McConnell Air Force Base is seeking a skilled and passionate musician to lead and accompany music for Catholic Masses, rehearsals, and special services. This is a paid services contract. Key Responsibilities: Lead music and congregational singing at weekly Sunday Mass (9:30 AM) and weekly rehearsal (Wednesdays) Support up to 18 additional events annually (e.g., Holy Days, funerals, special services) Collaborate with the Catholic Priest and chapel team for music planning Accompany and direct volunteer choir and musicians Maintain a professional appearance and work respectfully with diverse faith backgrounds. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years' experience in Catholic or liturgical music Ability to sight read music and play piano or organ (organ preferred) Proficiency with Catholic hymns and choral harmony Knowledge of Catholic liturgy, Mass structure, and worship traditions Background check required (DoDI 1402.5) Additional Info: Contract runs from October 1, 2025 - September 30, 2026, with potential 4-year extension Weekly services and rehearsals last approximately 1 hour each Government-provided instruments available on site On-site audition and technical proficiency evaluation required How to Apply: Submit your resume highlighting relevant experience in liturgical or Catholic music.
