Description Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in medical authorizations and insurance eligibility? Do you have deep knowledge of Medi-Cal systems and requirements, and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment? If so, we want you to join our team as our next Medical Authorizations Specialist! Key Responsibilities: + Manage and process Medi-Cal authorizations for services, ensuring compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. + Verify insurance eligibility and benefits to confirm coverage for procedures and treatments. + Work closely with providers and healthcare teams to secure necessary pre-authorizations for patient care. + Resolve authorization delays by effectively communicating and working with payers. + Maintain knowledge of Medi-Cal policies, procedures, and updates to ensure accurate and timely processing. + Utilize medical billing software to input and track authorization data. + Handle escalations and problem-solve complex authorization issues with confidence and professionalism. + Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality standards. Requirements + Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Medi-Cal authorizations and insurance eligibility verification. + Comprehensive understanding of Medi-Cal guidelines, processes, and payer requirements in a healthcare setting. + Proven ability to process authorizations for a range of medical services, including high-cost and specialized procedures. + Proficiency in using healthcare management systems or billing software (experience with EPIC, Cerner, or similar systems preferred). + Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail when managing patient authorization TalentMatch® ­Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
