Role: Affordable Housing Leasing Agent in the Buffalo region
Compensation: $19 - $22/hour
(based on experience) Part-time, 20 hours/week

Summary:
The Leasing Agent is responsible for leasing units and providing exceptional customer service to residents while actively assisting the Community Manager with supervision and administrative responsibilities. The Leasing Agent is required to actively promote the company's mission, values, and culture, as well as act with the highest level of ethical decision-making at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
Assists the Affordable Housing Community Manager with:
  • Leasing units and providing exceptional customer service to residents.
  • Managing communications with residents and administrative responsibilities.
  • Collecting rent, processing billing statements, posting payments, and depositing receipts.
  • Creating application packets and entering applicants into the system.
  • Assisting with Recertification Interviews.
  • Maintaining an organized and professional workspace and a positive environment for all.
  • Showing and leasing apartments to prospective residents; processing, approving, or denying rental applications.
  • Conducting new resident orientation and performing move-in and move-out inspections.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Required to contribute to a harmonious, professional, and ethical workplace environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and time management skills required.
  • Must have computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate the Internet.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in affordable housing property management or customer service.
