WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE:

We are seeking a Junior Photographer to support our in-house creative team on a temporary basis. This position will assist with product photography, photo editing, and color correction for both digital and print applications, with a strong emphasis on interior design, luxury trimmings, and craftsmanship.

The ideal candidate has a refined eye for detail, texture, and color accuracy, and an appreciation for high-end design. Photography may incorporate still imagery, basic styling, video, or other graphic elements as directed. This role requires a balance of creative sensibility and technical precision while adhering closely to brand standards and production specifications.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:



Photography:

• Assist with product photography for web, e-commerce, and digital platforms
• Support styled photography for social media, marketing campaigns, and promotional content, particularly within the interior design and luxury lifestyle space
• Assist with studio setup, lighting, surface styling, and shoot preparation as needed
• Work under the direction of the Photography Director and lead photographer to execute cohesive, on-brand imagery

Post-production & Asset Management:

• Edit and color-correct product photography to maintain accurate color representation and material integrity
• Perform basic photo retouching for digital and print use
• Maintain and organize the photography archive and digital asset library
• Ensure files are properly named, formatted, and delivered according to established specifications and workflows

General Support:

• Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and the broader creative team
• Support ad-hoc creative projects, shoots, and production needs as assigned
• Assist with maintaining studio organization, equipment readiness, and efficient workflows

$30 - $36 hourly



 Samuel & Sons, in good faith, believes that this posted range of compensation is the accurate range for this role at this location at the time of this posting. Samuel & Sons may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

REQUIREMENTS

WHO YOU ARE:

• Degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Design, or a related field  preferred but not required ; equivalent professional experience and a strong portfolio will be fully considered
• Portfolio demonstrating photography and retouching skills, including before/after examples
• Experience or strong interest in  interior design, luxury products, textiles, materials, or craftsmanship-focused brands  is highly desirable
• Solid understanding of photography fundamentals, lighting, composition, and color accuracy
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, and Illustrator
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take direction

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

• This is a temporary role to cover maternity leave
• Well suited for early-career photographers or creatives looking to build experience within a design-driven, luxury brand environment
