What You’ll Do

As the Director for Global Logistics Procurement , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliable, safe, and cost-effective movement and handling of Lubrizol products across our global network. Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, you will lead the development and execution of global and regional logistics sourcing strategies, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive operational excellence and competitive advantage.

You will:

  • Lead and align regional logistics teams to solve complex logistical challenges while navigating regulatory, environmental, and cost constraints.
  • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for transportation, terminals, and warehousing that ensure timely, safe, and efficient delivery of materials.
  • Monitor and manage global logistics spend, ensuring alignment with budgets and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Provide strategic insights and lead investments in logistics systems and tools that enhance organizational capabilities.
  • Build and maintain a global vendor database and support supplier negotiations to ensure optimal service, cost, and reliability.
  • Set and track global logistics performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to optimize logistics networks, evaluate capital investments, and implement best-in-class procurement practices.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for logistics-related technical and commercial matters, including the safe handling of hazardous materials.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, finance, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the chemical industry, with a strong focus on chemical logistics.
  • Demonstrate fluency in English and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Possess deep knowledge of global logistics markets, sourcing strategies, and supplier relationship management.
  • Understand regional regulatory, legal, tax, and import/export requirements.
  • Have a proven track record in developing and implementing strategic logistics plans.
