The Computer Operator is responsible for managing and operating drawings for online games, second chance drawings, and special event drawings. This includes resolving hardware and software issues, monitoring networked systems for security problems, performing game closing and IT draw operations, and providing basic computer and systems support. The role requires working a rotating 40-hour shift, including weekends and holidays, to provide coverage for the Operations Center.

Responsibilities:
- Resolving hardware and software issues, from minor software to complex system issues.
- Serving as the initial point of contact for staff experiencing computer problems.
- Monitoring networked systems for security problems and investigating suspicious activity.
- Ensuring personnel do not access the classified processing area without proper clearance.
- Performing game closing and IT draw operations, verifying game closures and validating winning numbers.
- Updating and posting winning numbers to the website and phone line.
- Balancing sales and liabilities data with the gaming system and creating reports.
- Processing and balancing financial reports.
- Monitoring system performance and reporting anomalies.
- Updating multistate lottery systems with sales and winning numbers.
- Assisting Information Technology staff in providing basic computer and systems support.
- Installing and configuring computer software and hardware.
- Maintaining asset inventory for the IT department.
- Executing and monitoring daily Data Warehousing program.
- Conducting preliminary IT inquiries and issue tracking for users.
- Providing technical assistance and support for computer software and hardware issues.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- High School Diploma
- Extensive knowledge of computer operating systems.
- General knowledge of File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and Virtual Private Networks (VPN).
- Knowledge of network file systems and USB file transfers.
- Experience in an Information Technology environment on Microsoft Windows.
- Ability to comprehend SOPs, reports, and test scripts.
