How You Will Make an Impact:

We are looking for Café Attendants at our Virginia Beach Aquarium location. Depending on your assigned station, you may be responsible for taking orders and running the cash register, expediting orders, or food preparation. Some typical tasks would be:

• Greeting customers with a warm and welcoming attitude.
• Operating the cash register and POS system to process transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Preparing and packaging salads and sandwiches according to set recipes.
• Pulling orders together, ensuring the food is up to standard and correct condiments and paper goods are included.
• Handling customer inquires and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth operations, including stepping in to other roles, as needed.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Experience in a food service setting a plus
• A friendly and positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable transportation
• Must be willing to work on the weekends and some holidays

The Good Stuff:

• Base pay with tip pool guaranteed to average at least $15/hr (currently, base pay with tip pool averages between $15-$18/hr)
• Free Employee Shift Meal as well as an additional 40% discount at all Gourmet Gang locations
