Job Title: Administrative Assistant / Secretary
Location: Jonestown, PA
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Pay Rate: $18-$20/hr
Position Overview The Administrative Assistant/Secretary provides clerical and administrative support to supervisors and staff at the this Education Center, ensuring efficient daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Greet visitors, answer phones, and provide customer service
Maintain visitor logs and assist with building security procedures
Prepare and manage documents, reports, and correspondence
Track student and staff information in databases; compile reports as needed
Assist with scheduling, calendar management, and event coordination
Process purchase orders, vouchers, and maintain budget records
Handle incident reports and parent communication letters
Monitor staff absences and arrange classroom coverage
Manage electronic ticket systems for technology and equipment requests
Support cafeteria orders and supply coordination
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years of administrative or secretarial experience
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
