Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Embedded Software Engineers for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Must have strong experience in object-oriented principles, C++, complex problem solving using data structures and algorithms.
Deep understanding of Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) concepts in embedded systems.
Proficient in C++ (version 11 or higher).
Experience developing embedded software using RTOS on Linux platforms.
Experience with software/firmware interfaces and communication protocols (e.g., UART, Ethernet, DDS, PCIe).
Experience with software configuration tools such as GitLab or Bitbucket.
Interim Secret clearance required to start.
Do not submit candidates with marginal C++ experience or who work predominantly in C.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, integrate, and maintain real-time embedded applications.
Work on software products related to image processing, target detection/tracking, missile guidance/navigation/control, launchers, system control, built-in test, and communications.
Participate in Agile Scrum team development.
Support code written in C++ 11 or higher on multi-core or MicroBlaze real-time processors.
Collaborate with team to maintain code quality and design integrity.
Ensure adherence to software configuration and version control processes.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Familiarity with containerized development and deployment environments.
Experience with DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD), and automated testing.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's Degree
